The Senate of the Ebonyi State University Students’ Union Government has officially announced a plenary sitting of the 27th Senate Assembly, inviting members of the student body to witness legislative deliberations aimed at strengthening student governance within the institution.
According to a public notice released by the Senate leadership, the plenary is scheduled to hold on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Faculty of Law, Ebonyi State University.
The session will be held under the theme “Building a Stronger Union: Lawmaking for Sustainable Student Development.”
Focus on Student Welfare and Institutional Development
The Senate explained that the plenary sitting is convened to deliberate on key legislative matters affecting students’ welfare, rights, and overall development within the university community.
Discussions are expected to center on:
- Strengthening institutional frameworks within the Students’ Union
- Enhancing student representation in governance
- Promoting accountability in student leadership
- Developing policies that support innovation and sustainable development
The legislative body noted that such sessions remain critical in ensuring that the union continues to deliver purposeful leadership and responsive representation for the student population.
