Students of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) received more than just Valentine’s Day wishes as the President of the Student Union Government (SUG), Chika Abraham Nwuhuo, delivered an important update regarding NELFUND refunds.
In a message released on Saturday, which also coincided with his birthday, the SUG President affectionately addressed students as “my greatest galaxies,” reaffirming his dedication to serving them with diligence and sincerity.
“You are indelible in my heart, and that is why I remain committed to serving you diligently and wholeheartedly,” he stated.
However, beyond the warm Valentine’s greetings, the message carried a significant development for students awaiting financial refunds under the NELFUND scheme.
The President specifically informed students who are yet to receive their refunds to remain alert, as payments are currently being processed.
“I would like to inform those students who are yet to receive their NELFUND refund to kindly keep an eye on their phones. The refunds are being processed today,” he announced.
The update has sparked anticipation among students who have been expecting the disbursement, with many hopeful that the processing will bring relief amid ongoing academic expenses.
The Valentine’s Day message, coupled with the refund announcement and the President’s birthday celebration, reflects a blend of symbolic leadership and student-centered governance.
As students continue to monitor their notifications, the SUG leadership reiterates its commitment to transparency, welfare, and consistent communication with the EBSU community.
