The Music Wing of the Scripture Union Campus Fellowship (SUCF), CAS/LAW group, successfully held a music workshop on Saturday, February 7, 2026, themed “The Basics of Being a Music Minister.”
The workshop, which took place at the Fellowship Hall (200 Level Class), was designed to equip members with foundational knowledge in music ministry, combining both musical excellence and spiritual growth.
To facilitate the session, the music wing invited Bro. Caleb and Bro. Alex, graduates of Presco Campus, Ebonyi State University. The guest ministers delivered insightful teachings on the essence of music ministry, emphasizing that being a music minister goes beyond vocal ability or instrumental skill, but requires spiritual depth, discipline, and commitment to service.
Participants were encouraged to pursue continuous musical development while nurturing their personal relationship with God, highlighting the balance between technical proficiency and spiritual maturity.
Adding an interactive dimension to the workshop, the Choral Coordinator, Miss Nwode Joy Mmesoma, led engaging activities that energized attendees. These included completing snippets of popular songs as a team exercise, freestyle sessions, and a cover challenge, all aimed at sharpening creativity and teamwork among members.
The atmosphere was marked by enthusiasm, learning, and fellowship. The event concluded with prayers and moments of spiritual reflection, reinforcing the core values of SUCF.
The workshop stands as part of the fellowship’s ongoing commitment to raising sound music ministers grounded in both skill and spirituality within the CAS/Law campus community.
