The Senate President of the Ebonyi State University Students’ Union Government (EBSU-SUG), Comrade Marvelous Elochukwu, has announced the opening of 100 free Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning slots for students of the university.
The announcement was made in his New Month message to the EBSU student community, where he stressed that student leadership must go beyond representation to actively prepare young people for the future, which he described as being driven by Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
According to the Senate President, the initiative is aimed at equipping students with relevant, future-ready skills that will enable them to unlock opportunities and build sustainable careers in the digital economy.
The programme is being implemented in partnership with UpSkillify, a technology-focused platform that provides practical and hands-on digital skills training. Comrade Elochukwu, who also serves as the Business Development Lead at UpSkillify, noted that the collaboration is designed to connect students with skills that are in high demand globally.
He disclosed that only the first 100 students who register through the official link will be admitted into the programme. He further revealed that three outstanding participants will be selected from the beneficiaries for special consideration and direct mentorship.
Students interested in the programme have been encouraged to register early via the official registration link:
The initiative has been described as a strategic investment in youth development and technological empowerment within the EBSU student community.
