The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (FUNAI) has officially postponed its 9th Convocation Ceremony earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, February 20, 2026.
The announcement was contained in a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar and addressed to the University Community.
According to the memo dated February 16, 2026, the decision to postpone the ceremony was taken pending further consultation with the University Senate and Council.
The Registrar, Henry Igwe, stated that a new date for the convocation ceremony will be communicated in due course after the necessary consultations have been concluded.
The University Management expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause to graduating students, parents, invited guests, and members of the public.
Students, staff, and all affected persons have been advised to take note of the development and await further official communication from the institution.
